"A Legendary Blend with a Family Story"
There is 22 Herbs and Spices blended together. This was my father Ted's Blend. Ted was a bush cook who cooked or 200 to 300 workers in remote locations,
such as Baffin Island. Ted had a hard time getting the spices sent to him so he experiments with many different spices and eventually came up with his own
spices that became legendary in the culinary circle. After Ted Passed people would approach his daughter Fran and say, my goodness I miss your dad Teddy,
By the way is there anything goin on with his spices? Our children grew up on this blend and was also asking about is so I made a batch and gave it out
to |Friend and Family the response was phenomenal. I decided to join the North Bay Farmers Market and sell our spices so everyone could enjoy Ted's Spices.
Shortly after starting to Market the Spices people where asking about the salt content. Even though we use Sea Salt as an ingredient we figured we could
reduce the the salt with a lower salt tolerance could use our fantastic spices we decided to take out the sea salt and replace the salt with Cumin so
this really did not effect the over 22 Herbs and Spices and gave us a lower sodium Seasoning with Cumin as well as the original seasoning wit sea salt a
Perfect match.
3 years my husband was making his Beef Jerky which he had mad for the children since they where very small. Our Children always preferred
my Husbands Jerky to Candy treats. One day we received a call from one of our children asking if dad could make some Jerky and send it to them out west.
While we where making the Jerky I suggested we add some of our spices in the mixture. After a few tries of how much to add we nailed is and a winner was born.
After a year of our original Jerky selling as a complete success it was suggested by our customers to try some other flavors. As a result we blossomed
into 3 flavors of Jerky. Original, Teriyaki and Tangy B.B.Q.
Teds Gourmet Jerky is made for Triple A Grade Eye Of Round our spices and other particular flavor recently ingredients our beef is marinated for a
minimum of 24 hours, then put into our Dehydrating machine for approximately 5-6 hour than bagged, sealed and labeled all under the watch of
North Bay Health Unit.
